The Bosconian Society honors those who have made a special commitment, through a planned gift, to the advancement of Don Bosco Prep.

We'd love to welcome YOU as our newest member!

Membership in The Bosconian Society is granted to anyone who notifies and documents with Don Bosco Prep that the school has been named as a beneficiary through:

  • A will or living trust
  • A beneficiary designation (e.g., retirement account, life insurance policy)
  • A charitable gift annuity or trust

There is no minimum gift amount, and membership is automatic upon notification.

When you include Don Bosco Prep in your will, or make the school a beneficiary of your estate, you can partner with us in the education and evangelization of young men through a gift that will only take effect after your other obligations have ceased.

Planned gifts of all sizes combine to maximize the impact on the success of our school and community.

Let us help you make the gift that's right for you. Begin a confidential, no-obligation conversation to start this journey with us.

A Message from Bob Gunn, Class of 1965

Don Bosco has been shaping boys to men since 1915.

The time I spent as a student at Don Bosco molded me to have love for God, respect, caring and compassion for others, to work hard and believe that I can set my goals and accomplish them.

In the over 60 years since I became that man, every year has confirmed to me how important those four years were and continue to be for every student that passes through the halls of Don Bosco Prep.

I believe an important aspect of giving back is helping to provide Don Bosco the means to continue its “Boys to Men” mission for centuries to come. I invite you to join me.

Ways to Give

Gifts From Your Will
General Bequest

Through a provision in your written and executed will, you can make a gift in the form of cash, securities, real estate or personal property. There are many types of bequests. Choose the one that best fits your needs and intentions.

Beneficiary Gifts
Retirement Accounts

Naming Don Bosco Prep as the beneficiary of a qualified retirement plan asset such as a 401(k), 403(b), IRA, Keogh, profit-sharing pension plan or other donor-advised funds, will accomplish a charitable goal while realizing significant tax savings.

Gifts That Pay You
Charitable Gift Annuity

You can turn underperforming assets (stock, cash in a savings account, CDs, savings bonds, etc.) into a gift to Don Bosco Prep that provides income to you. Your Charitable Gift Annuity will give you quarterly, fixed payments for life and tax benefits, too.

Current Gift Options

Gifts of Stock
Appreciated Stock

When you donate appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares instead of cash, you'll receive charitable deductions at full, fair market value while reducing capital gains impact.

Charitable IRA Rollover
Charitable IRA Rollover

If you're 70 ½ or older, you can make a gift directly from your IRA to Don Bosco Prep. While there is no charitable deduction for a rollover gift, you do avoid the income tax on the donated portion of your required minimum distribution.

Gifts of Property
Real Estate and Other Valuables

Like stock, the fair market value of gifts of appreciated assets such as real estate, artwork, and other well curated collections, can be deducted from your income tax today and reduce your estate taxes in the future.
